Identifying Language Learning Strategies Used by Mixed-Ability Year 6 Pupils in Enhancing Speaking Skills

English is a language that easy to converse with, as the entire globe has shown. Despite other skills, speaking viewed most crucial because it occurs frequently in both formal and informal settings. Poor skills lack of attention learning sessions or assessments are just two downsides make difficult for learners develop abilities. The purpose this study identify techniques utilized by Year 6 pupils their skills. For study, 40 primary from four suburban Selangor Johor schools participated quantitative research methodology. findings revealed social strategy preferred general. High achievers compensation strategies, moderate metacognition low strategies when abilities were compared. variety chosen not been discovered which makes future studies may focus on these aspects. data gained helps teachers alike. While who aware have better self-regulation, teacher can assist improving create lessons specific student's methods.
